Job summary

Asia Pacific Schools in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Cover teacher to join our national secondary school to teach KSSM Sejarah. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Education (or relevant field with PGDE) and at least two years’ full-time teaching Sejarah in a national school, with fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

You will support curriculum delivery and student development in a dynamic, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education with relevant specialization or equivalent.
• PGDE or postgraduate credential in teaching is preferred.
• Minimum two years’ full-time teaching Sejarah in a national school.
• Ability to teach other subjects like Geografi or Pendidikan Moral is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow school policies reflecting commitment to high achievement and learning.
• Establish the role of Humanities in pupils’ development and modern world readiness.
• Use data to identify underachieving pupils and implement improvement plans.
• Act as Homeroom Teacher for a designated class.
• Ensure curriculum coverage, progression and differentiation for all pupils.
• Engage parents and carers with curriculum, attainment and targets.
