Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Cloud Developer to design and extend cloud automation using APIs, serverless functions, and event-driven patterns. You will provide operational support and ensure governance, security, and compliance across cloud environments.

The role requires hands-on C# development, Azure experience, and DevOps tooling familiarity. You will work within a collaborative team to deliver secure, scalable solutions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments.
• At least 2 years of experience in the IT field.
• At least 2 years of practical C# development.
• At least 1 year of strong experience with Azure cloud services.
• Experience with CI tools and DevOps practices.

Work you’ll do

As the Cloud Developer you will develop and extend Cloud automation using a combination of RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and event-driven architecture. With your expertise you will provide operational assistance to support the larger needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that cloud solutions follow governance, security, and compliance controls, as well as best practices.
• Translate control frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC2 into technological policy solutions.
• Create infrastructure as code templates and orchestration to deliver consistent, secure environments.
• Be a trusted advisor for Cloud Engineering and Architecture.
• You should have a foundational.understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build solutions.
• Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.
• Execute in several discipline areas to achieve project objectives. Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high quality.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments
• At least 2 years of experience in the IT field
• At least 2 years of practical C# development
• At least 1 year of strong experience with Azure cloud services
• Should be fluent in SAFE or Scrum Agile methodology
• Direct, hands-on experience with DevOps and release management tools
• Familiarity with Docker containers, working experience a plus
• Familiarity with Microservices Architecture, working experience a plus
• Experience with continuous integration tools, such as VSTS, Bamboo, Jenkins, Microsoft TFS, TeamCity, etc.
• Experience with Python, Powershell, F# preferred
• Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.
• Working knowledge of best practices for IT operations, business continuity, and disaster recovery in an always-on, always-available service model

Preferred:

• Familiarity with control frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, and HIPAA, and their impact on technology and process
• Relevant Microsoft Certifications in Azure or related technologies
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Working knowledge of SQL and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
• Working knowledge of Reporting tools
• Working knowledge of KQL or equivalent log query experience
