Job summary

Deloitte Regional Capability is seeking a Cloud Developer in Kuala Lumpur to design and extend cloud automation using RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and event-driven patterns. You will translate control frameworks into policy solutions and build secure infrastructure as code.

You’ll collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Architecture, applying DevOps practices and tools to deliver reliable, compliant cloud solutions in an enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in IT with hands-on C# development.
• At least 1 year of Azure cloud services experience.
• Experience with DevOps and release management tools.
• Familiarity with containers (Docker) and microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of CI tools (VSTS, Bamboo, Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity).
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, F# desirable.

As the Cloud Developer you will develop and extend Cloud automation using a combination of RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and event-driven architecture. With your expertise you will provide operational assistance to support the larger needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that cloud solutions follow governance, security, and compliance controls, as well as best practices.
• Translate control frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC2 into technological policy solutions.
• Create infrastructure as code templates and orchestration to deliver consistent, secure environments.
• Be a trusted advisor for Cloud Engineering and Architecture.
• You should have a foundational.understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build solutions.
• Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.
• Execute in several discipline areas to achieve project objectives. Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and
• At least 2 years of experience in the IT field
• At least 2 years of practical C# development
• At least 1 year of strong experience with Azure cloud services
• Should be fluent in SAFE or Scrum Agile methodology
• Direct, hands-on experience with DevOps and release management tools
• Familiarity with Docker containers, working experience a plus
• Familiarity with Microservices Architecture, working experience a plus
• Experience with continuous integration tools, such as VSTS, Bamboo, Jenkins, Microsoft TFS, TeamCity, etc.
• Experience with Python, Powershell, F# preferred
• Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.
• Working knowledge of best practices for IT operations, business continuity, and disaster recovery in an always-on, always-available service model

Preferred

• Familiarity with control frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, and HIPAA, and their impact on technology and process
• Relevant Microsoft Certifications in Azure or related technologies
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Working knowledge of SQL and non-relational (NoSQL) databases
• Working knowledge of Reporting tools
• Working knowledge of KQL or equivalent log query experience
