Job summary

Deloitte Southeast Asia invites applications for a DRSC Global Technology Analyst SAP ABAP Developer in Kuala Lumpur. You will drive ABAP development, participate in SAP implementations, and collaborate with functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

The role requires hands-on ABAP experience, strong debugging skills, and a passion for continuous improvement within a global technology team. On-site in Kuala Lumpur with exposure to a variety of SAP technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• At least 1 year of SAP ABAP development experience
• Hands-on experience with Reports (Classical/ALV), SmartForms or Adobe Forms, User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, Function Modules, RFCs, and Data Dictionary objects
• Experience in debugging and performance tuning of ABAP applications
• Preferred: 3+ years SAP ABAP development; Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, CDS Views/AMDP, SAP Fiori and OData; Agile delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate the efforts of internal resources for successful SAP enhancements and fixes
• Perform SAP ABAP and S/4 ABAP programming
• Support daily Core SAP operations and provide timely third-level support
• Create and maintain internal documentation and end-user training materials
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to resolve system issues
• Document technical developments, unit test results, and deployment activities
• Provide post-go-live support and defect resolution

Work you’ll do

• Support and coordinate the efforts of Subject Matter Experts, Development, Quality Assurance, Usability, Training, Transport Management, and other internal resources for the successful implementation of system enhancements and fixes
• Perform SAP ABAP and S/4 ABAP programming as required
• Support daily Core SAP operations and provide timely and consistent resolution of third-level Support activities
• Create and maintain internal documentation and end-user training materials as needed
• Liaise with a learning group to provide input into training materials
• Provide input to standards and guidelines and implement best practices to enable consistency across all projects
• Participate in the continuous improvement processes, as assigned
• Develop and enhance SAP objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW)
• Participate in technical design discussions and translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of ABAP programs
• Support SAP implementation, enhancement, and maintenance projects
• Develop programs for data migration and data validation activities
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business users to resolve system issues
• Document technical developments, unit test results, and deployment activities
• Provide post-go-live support and defect resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 1 year of SAP ABAP development experience

• Experience in debugging and performance tuning of ABAP applications

Preferred:

• At least 3 years of SAP ABAP development experience
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA
• Basic knowledge of CDS Views and AMDP
• Exposure to SAP Fiori and OData services
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
