Job summary

ELSA is seeking an experienced Drilling SSHE Coordinator to support SSHE and operations risk control for upstream drilling projects in Sabah. You will coordinate SSHE activities across drilling, workover, and P&A operations, ensuring robust risk assessments and controls are applied by drilling and field teams.

The role requires 5+ years in Oil & Gas within PSC, with familiarity of offshore Malaysia drilling activities and experience in drilling, workover or P&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Science or Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry within a PSC environment.
• Experience in drilling activities offshore Malaysia (or similar).
• Minimum 3 years in Drilling, Workover and/or P&A.

• Coordinate SSHE activities supporting drilling, workover and Plug & Abandonment (P&A) operations.
• Coordinate SSHE requirements and activities related to drilling operations.
• Support SSHE risk assessments and the implementation of appropriate risk control measures.
• Coordinate with drilling and operational teams on SSHE matters.
• Support SSHE activities for exploration, development and appraisal drilling projects.
• Monitor and follow up on SSHE actions, requirements and related activities.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of SSHE requirements for assigned drilling activities, whether onshore or offshore.
• Assist in promoting effective SSHE practices across drilling activities.

Key Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the Oil & Gas industry within a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) environment.
• Experience in a similar role, or strong familiarity with the requirements of drilling activities offshore Malaysia.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Drilling, Workover and/or Plug & Abandonment (P&A).
• Experience supporting exploration, development and appraisal drilling projects.
