Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a drafting assistant to support project design and development, aligning with the Project and Technical Departments and company standards. The role involves liaising with engineers, producing sketches, and revising drawings for ongoing projects.

You should have a background in architecture or engineering, be proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp, read architecture drawings, and have at least one year of drafting experience; short-notice applicants are preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in architecture/engineering or related studies.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp, with proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Able to read architecture drawings and visualize in 2D/3D.
• At least 1 year of drafting experience.
• Experience in the solar/architectural drafting field is an advantage.
• Short notice period preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project design and development per departmental requirements.
• Liaise with engineers to prepare and develop drawings.
• Sketch and revise project drawings per company standards.
• Prepare relevant documents and drawings.
• Maintain filing and documentation.
• Attend site meetings and site surveys as needed.
• Understand Solar PV and architectural drawings.
• Assist Technical & Project departments on projects.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by Technical Manager.

• Provide assistance in project design and development activities based on Project Department, Technical Department and Company’s requirements
• Liaise with Engineer(s) requirements to prepare and develop into
• Sketches and conceptual drawing and revision of current running project drawing specifications for Projects Team according to company design standards development and execution
• Assist in preparing relevant documents, drawings
• To maintain and upkeep proper filing and proper documentation
• To attend site meeting and site survey visit where necessary
• Able to understand Solar PV and Architect drawing
• To assist Technical & Project Department in project
• Perform any related ad-hoc duties as assigned by Technical Manager

Job Requirement

• Background in architecture/engineering or related studies.
• Strong Knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketchup. Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Able to read architecture drawing, visualize 2D and 3D.
• At least 1 year experience in a similar drafter role.
• Related industry experience added advantage.
• Preferred short notice period.
