Klinik Dr. Noor in Kepong, Selangor, seeks a Resident Doctor to join our clinical team. You will conduct comprehensive medical consultations, assess wounds, and manage diabetes-related and wound care needs in a primary care setting.

Required MBBS/MD or equivalent, MMC registration, and APC; housemanship completed. Private healthcare experience is advantageous; join a collaborative team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical consultations, take histories, perform examinations, and formulate treatment plans.
• Perform wound assessments and develop wound management plans with appropriate dressings.
• Identify red flags and manage sepsis, ischaemia, or severe infections with escalation when needed.
• Prescribe medications in line with guidelines and ensure patient education on care and compliance.
• Collaborate with nurses and staff to ensure safe wound care and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in audits and professional development.

Who We Are?

Klinik Dr. Noor is a healthcare provider based in Kepong, Selangor, dedicated to providing professional medical care with a strong focus on diabetic wound care, chronic wound management, and wound recovery. We are currently seeking a Resident Doctor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive medical consultations, take accurate medical histories, perform physical examinations, provide appropriate diagnosis, and develop individualised treatment plans.

Conduct comprehensive wound assessments, including wound location, size, depth, wound bed, exudate, odour, surrounding skin condition, and signs of infection.

Assess factors that may delay wound healing, including diabetes control, vascular perfusion, neuropathy, pressure, nutritional status, and other relevant clinical factors.

Develop individualised wound management plans and select appropriate wound dressings and treatment based on the patient’s clinical condition.

Perform wound debridement and other relevant minor procedures within the doctor’s competency, scope of practice, and available clinic facilities.

Identify and manage clinical red flags such as sepsis, ischaemia, gangrene, osteomyelitis, and spreading or severe infections, with appropriate escalation when required.

Determine the need for wound C&S, blood investigations, X-rays, imaging, or other diagnostic investigations and interpret the results to guide further clinical management.

Manage medical emergencies promptly, provide appropriate stabilisation, initiate emergency treatment, and arrange hospital referral when necessary.

Prescribe appropriate medications, antibiotics, and other treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines, professional standards, and applicable regulations.

Monitor patients’ clinical progress and wound healing through measurements, clinical documentation, where appropriate, and treatment outcomes, and adjust management plans accordingly.

Provide patients and caregivers with appropriate education on wound care, offloading, diabetic foot care, nutrition, medication compliance, lifestyle modification, and home care.

Determine the need for referral to hospitals, surgeons, vascular specialists, orthopaedic specialists, or other relevant disciplines and ensure appropriate continuity of care.

Guide, supervise, and collaborate with nurses and Clinical Assistants (CA) in the safe and effective management of wound care and other patient care activities.

Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, including consultation notes, diagnoses, investigation results, prescriptions, wound assessments, treatment plans, and follow‑up information.

Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, quality improvement initiatives, professional development programmes, and maintain compliance with clinic SOPs, MMC requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Requirements :

Possess a recognised MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.

Must be registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) and hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

Must have completed housemanship and possess the necessary clinical experience to practise independently.

Previous experience in General Practice (GP), primary care, outpatient, private healthcare, wound care, or diabetic wound management is an added advantage.

Strong clinical knowledge and demonstrated ability in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical decision‑making.

Knowledge or experience in wound assessment, wound dressing, debridement, diabetic foot care, and chronic wound management is highly preferred.

Able to recognise and manage medical emergencies and identify clinical red flags requiring urgent intervention or referral.

Strong ability to interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic investigation results.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counselling skills.

Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, compassion, accountability, and commitment to patient‑centred care.

Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with nurses, Clinical Assistants, and other healthcare professionals.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation.
