Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks a director-level leader to establish and run test hardware manufacturing enablement and production deployment across a global engineering network.

You will manage a geographically distributed team and partner with hardware development, test engineering, supply chain, and OSATs to deliver scalable, production-ready test solutions. The role emphasizes equipment readiness, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in semiconductor test/hardware.
• Experience managing distributed engineering/manufacturing/operations teams.
• Experience leading semiconductor hardware introduction from development through qualification, production deployment, and sustaining.
• Strong technical understanding of semiconductor test hardware and equipment (ATE, burn‑in systems, sockets, handlers).
• Experience enabling complex hardware solutions in high‑volume semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience working with OSATs, test-equipment companies, and hardware suppliers.
• Ability to manage strategic supplier relationships and escalations.
• Strong program and operational management with accountability for schedule, quality, capacity and cost.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead geographically distributed engineering and manufacturing enablement team across AMD sites.
• Establish roles, priorities, operating mechanisms, and performance expectations for the global team.
• Collaborate to define best practices for production deployment and management of the test equipment fleet across OSAT sites.
• Interface with OSATs to define and monitor KPIs ensuring production‑worthy test solutions.
• Identify and mitigate test challenges; drive large projects to timely completion.
• Manage a team providing professional development and project guidance.
• Develop organizational capability through talent development, coaching, and resource deployment.
