Job summary

Solmax in Malaysia seeks a senior Director, Supply Chain & Procurement – APAC to lead end-to-end supply chain and procurement across China, Malaysia and Thailand, reporting to the VP of Global Supply Chain & Sourcing.

The role drives planning, SIOP, inventory control, supplier management, logistics and customer service while steering regional transformation and cost optimization in a complex, matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 12+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience.
• Experience in multi-country APAC leadership and global matrix environments.
• Strong SIOP / integrated business planning experience.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Director, Supply Chain & Procurement – APAC to lead our end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities across China, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Supply Chain & Sourcing, this role will serve as the senior Supply Chain leader for APAC, driving regional performance across planning, SIOP, procurement, customer service, inventory, logistics, supplier management, and supply continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the APAC Supply Chain & Procurement organization.


• Drive regional SIOP, planning, inventory and working capital performance.


• Develop and execute strategic procurement and supplier management initiatives.


• Lead strategic supplier negotiations and cost reduction programs.


• Oversee logistics, distribution, customer service and order fulfillment.


• Drive supply chain transformation, process standardization and continuous improvement.


• Partner with regional and global stakeholders within a matrix organization.


• Lead supply chain risk management and business continuity initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.


• 12+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


• Strong experience across planning, procurement, inventory, logistics and customer service.


• Proven multi-country APAC leadership experience.


• Experience working within a global matrix organization.


• Strong SIOP / integrated business planning experience.


• Proven track record in strategic supplier management, cost reduction and working capital improvement.


• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in China, Malaysia and/or Thailand.


• Fluent in Mandarin and English.


• Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.
