Job summary

Manulife Insurance Berhad seeks an Associate Director, Experience Analytics to lead end-to-end mortality and morbidity studies across Asia while driving modernization of analytics, data pipelines and dashboards. You will oversee governance and engage senior stakeholders, translating insights into pricing and valuation actions.

We value 5–7 years actuarial experience, Fellowship or near-Fellow status, and strong skills in SQL, R and Python. Hybrid work arrangement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Fellow or near-Fellow (FSA or equivalent) with 5–7 years of actuarial experience.
• Strong technical capability in experience study methodologies, GLMs, credibility and trend analysis.
• Proven leadership experience coaching junior staff and providing technical oversight.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate analytics into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mortality and morbidity experience studies across Asia, with validation and documentation.
• Drive analytics modernization, supporting data modernization and workflow templates.
• Oversee dashboards to explain trends and GL impacts to senior stakeholders.
• Translate results into business narratives for pricing and valuation teams.
• Collaborate with BU Chief Actuaries to improve XPSSC value and governance.
• Partner with IT and RAS/GFA to meet governance standards.
• Champion standardized templates and study methodologies across Asia.
• Identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled analytics.
• Coach and develop junior actuarial staff.
