Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Director, CFCR Assurance to lead risk-based assurance reviews across global functions, aligning with regulatory expectations and internal standards. You will collaborate with Global Heads, Risk CROs and 1LOD teams to ensure effective controls and remediation tracking.

Applicants should bring extensive banking risk expertise, leadership in assurance, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement and ethical conduct across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong assurance, risk and control testing experience within a banking environment.
• Proven ability to lead transformations in risk and control testing/audit/assurance.
• Excellent communicator and leader capable of managing complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver risk-based assurance coverage aligned to the bank's risk profile and regulatory expectations.
• Drive a culture of openness, ethics and risk awareness across the group.
• Collaborate across three lines of defence and engage with risk owners.
• Follow policies and standards for assurance work, issue tracking and documentation.
• Lead and develop teams to build capability and ensure effective governance.
