Job summary

Standard Chartered seeks a Director, CFCR Assurance to lead risk-based assurance reviews and to collaborate across the three lines of defence. The role may be based in Kuala Lumpur or Guangzhou, delivering independent assessments to senior management and the Board on the bank's policies and controls.

You will drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead complex assurance initiatives with a focus on data analytics, AI, and technology risk management.

Qualifications

• Strong assurance, risk and control testing within banking.
• Experience across multiple risk areas in a banking environment.
• Track record of leading transformations in risk testing and assurance.
• Ability to leverage technology to optimise processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based assurance reviews across CFCR Assurance remit.
• Support strategy for risk-based, data-enabled assurance coverage.
• Engage with 1LoD testing teams and Risk owners across geographies.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory expectations and internal policies.
• Communicate testing insights clearly to senior stakeholders with concise reporting.
