AIA Malaysia is seeking a Digital Strategy Consultant to enhance our corporate website and digital experience. You will partner with business, technology and external vendors to deliver initiatives, improve customer experience, and ensure quality and governance.

You will leverage analytics, insights and best practices to deliver an accessible, high-performing digital platform aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, business or IT.
  • Approximately 4–8 years in digital strategy, marketing or website management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate website enhancement requests with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Support planning and execution of the website roadmap with tech teams.
  • Gather requirements, write user stories, acceptance criteria and test plans.
  • Coordinate with development and CMS vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct UAT, deployment checks and production validation for releases.
  • Monitor performance and drive continuous UX and performance improvements.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and digital performance to propose optimisations.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, accessibility and SEO/GEO practices.

Job description

The Digital Strategy Consultant is responsible for supporting the continuous enhancement and optimisation of AIA Malaysia’s digital experience, with the corporate website serving as the primary digital platform.

The role partners with business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors to deliver digital initiatives, improve customer experience, optimise search discoverability, and ensure website quality and governance. Leveraging customer insights, digital analytics and industry best practices, the role contributes to delivering an engaging, accessible and high-performing digital experience that supports AIA Malaysia’s business objectives.

1. Digital Experience & Website Optimisation
  • Coordinate and manage enhancement requests for the corporate website from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Support the planning and execution of the website enhancement roadmap in collaboration with business and technology teams.
  • Gather business requirements and prepare user stories, acceptance criteria and test scenarios for digital enhancements.
  • Coordinate delivery with development and content management vendors to ensure timely, high-quality implementation.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment verification and production validation for website releases, including e-commerce journeys.
  • Monitor post-release performance and coordinate issue resolution where required.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve customer experience, usability and website performance.
2. Digital Performance & Insights
  • Monitor website hygiene + performance through analytics platforms.
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc performance reports, highlighting trends, anomalies and optimisation opportunities.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and digital performance data to recommend improvements.
  • Support the tracking of digital KPIs and contribute insights that enhance business performance.
3. Search Optimisation (SEO & GEO)
  • Coordinate implementation of SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) initiatives to improve search visibility and AI discoverability.
  • Partner with the appointed SEO agency to prioritise and implement technical and content optimisation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Corporate Communications and Content teams to ensure digital content follows SEO/GEO best practices.
  • Work closely with Technology and UI/UX teams to assess and implement approved optimisation initiatives.
  • Monitor search performance and recommend continuous improvements.
4. Digital Governance & Website Quality
  • Monitor website quality and Digital Certainty Index (DCI) using Siteimprove and other digital governance tools.
  • Prioritise improvements relating to:
  • Website accessibility
  • Website hygiene
  • Broken links and technical compliance
  • Coordinate remediation activities with development partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with AIA Group digital standards, accessibility requirements and governance guidelines.
  • Anti-money-laundering screening alerts for E-Commerce purchases
  • Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams and external partners.
  • Coordinate website enhancement requests across multiple business units.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to agreed service levels.
  • Support digital initiatives through effective communication, coordination and project follow-up.
Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Experience:
  • Approximately 4–8 years of relevant experience in Digital Strategy, Digital Marketing, Website Management, Digital Experience or Digital Product Delivery.
  • Experience managing corporate websites or digital platforms.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Exposure to Agile ways of working, including user story preparation and UAT.
  • Experience using digital analytics tools and SEO platforms is preferred.
  • Experience within financial services or regulated industries is an advantage.
  • Adobe Analytics would be an added advantage
