Job summary

DFI Retail Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of digital application projects within a fast-paced retail environment. You will drive detailed plans, manage cross‑functional teams, and report to senior leadership while ensuring alignment with business goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project management, PMP/Agile certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, CS or relevant disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably digital application implementation.
• PMP or Agile Scrum Master certification preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Extensive sector domain knowledge and ability to work with senior management.
• Strong leadership skills with cross-functional influence.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English; Cantonese/Putonghua advantageous.
• Knowledge of retail technologies within the industry.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and steer development and delivery of tech solutions towards objectives.
• Manage project teams, ensuring clear roles and fostering collaboration.
• Monitor project performance, identify deviations from plan, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform risk management to minimise project risks.
• Conduct regular project meetings and steering committee meetings.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as charters, plans, and status reports.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and closure of individual projects within the program portfolio.

• Manage project teams, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities and fostering a collaborative environment.

• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and Senior Management/Steering Committee
• Create and maintain relevant project documentation such as project charter, project plans, status reports and operational checklists

To be successful for this role, you will ideally:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or relevant disciplines
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a preference for those with experience in digital application implementation project.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Scrum Master Program certification preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Extensive sector domain knowledge and able to work with senior management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under pressure.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua/Mandarin speaking and writing ability is an advantage
• Demonstrate a strong awareness of the uses of retail technologies within the industry sector and specifically within competitive or associated organisations operating in the same market
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organisation, FMCG or retail industry is an absolute advantage
• Knowledge in E-Commerce, POS and Store Operation will be advantaged
