Job summary

CelcomDigi Bhd, Malaysia’s merged telco-tech leader, invites applications for a Digital Lab Specialist (Internal Audit). You will leverage data analytics, automation and AI to develop scalable digital audit solutions and continuous assurance, delivering deeper risk insights and broader audit coverage.

Based in Petaling Jaya at CelcomDigi Tower, you will translate audit requirements into digital solutions, collaborate with IT and stakeholders, apply AI/ML techniques and ensure data governance for

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology (IT) or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years experience in data analytics, with proven ability in complex data analysis, data mining and ETL processes (e.g. SSIS, Apache Airflow).
• Strong proficiency in SQL (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and Python programming for analytics, automation, AI/ML, and digital solution development.
• Experience in PowerBI or equivalent analytics and visualization platforms.
• Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI and automation technologies, with the ability to evaluate and implement relevant use cases.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and able to manage multiple assignments independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Translate audit requirements into scalable digital solutions by leveraging data analytics, AI, automation and other relevant technologies.
• Design and implement data analytics and automation solutions to support continuous auditing and ongoing monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements and establish appropriate data sources to support continuous auditing solutions.
• Research, evaluate and apply advanced analytics and AI/ML techniques to enhance risk detection, anomaly identification and audit insights.
• Collaborate with IT and relevant stakeholders to ensure appropriate data governance and security controls for the continuous auditing platform.
• Provide data extraction and analytical support for audit engagements, where required.
• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure findings identified through continuous auditing are appropriately addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
• Drive digital initiatives within Internal Audit by leveraging data analytics, AI and automation to enhance audit effectiveness and efficiency.

Join the CelcomDigi Internal Audit team as a Digital Lab Specialist and be part of our digital transformation journey. Leverage data analytics, automation and AI to develop scalable digital audit and continuous assurance solutions that deliver deeper risk insights, expand audit coverage and enable more efficient and effective audit execution.
