Job summary

Flex is seeking a DFX & Process Development Senior Manager to lead technical direction for Hardware and Software Engineering teams at our Prai, Penang site. This role oversees budgeting, reviews, and progress tracking to ensure on-time delivery of projects, while guiding product architecture and development from proposal through delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 9+ years in EMS, including supervising teams, and a strong DFX and PCBA background.

Qualifications

• Typically requires at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training in the EMS industry.
• Typically requires 9 years of engineering experience, including supervision, in the EMS industry.
• Experience in managing a DFX engineering team is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrates strong capability, technical knowledge, and experience in multiple areas of PCBA manufacturing and DFX in the EMS industry.
• Demonstrates functional, technical, people, and manufacturing management skills, as well as customer relationship skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries, or functions, and an understanding of the interdependencies of such processes at the site.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to Hardware and Software Engineering & Design teams.
• Oversee resource budgeting, allocation, review, and approval.
• Track projects and progress through regular reviews.
• Develop control systems and reports which accurately measure progress, identify potential technical problems, and implement timely corrective actions to ensure that commitments are met.
• Participate in product architecture and feasibility technical reviews.
• Aid and guide in the development of product designs from proposal to delivery.
• Provide technical support to customers and the Sales team.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
