Job summary

Celestica in Penang, Malaysia seeks an Operations Engineering Advisor to run pre-DFM analyses on PCB packages, verify designs against DFM rules, and coordinate with layout engineers for appropriate dispositions. You will log findings with evidence, manage dispositions and support SMT/assembly questions at the site to ensure smooth transitions to production.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in DFM/PCB/SMT processes, Valor proficiency, and a degree in electrical, materials, or manufacturing

Qualifications

• Run pre-DFM on assigned packages and issue the report before release, within the agreed turnaround.
• Log every finding in the register with severity, route and the evidence behind the rule.
• Work the disposition directly with layout: design change where it is right, process or supplier route where it is not.

Responsibilities

• Verify closure on the next build and record the evidence.
• Support site DFM and SMT process questions for the assigned site and programmes.
• Propose rule changes where a finding recurs across platforms, and maintain the Valor encoding for checks in scope.
