Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hands-on engineer to support business-critical applications in a fast-paced trading and operations environment. You will develop and enhance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AngularJS, and build automation with Python.

You will also manage PostgreSQL databases and support cloud-native apps on OpenShift (AWS). Monitoring with Splunk and Grafana, plus collaboration with business users, are key parts of the role.

What You'll Do

Join a technology team supporting business-critical applications within a fast-paced trading and operations environment. We're looking for a hands-on engineer with strong development, DevOps, and stakeholder management skills.

• Develop and enhance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AngularJS.

• Build automation solutions using Python.

• Manage and optimise PostgreSQL databases.

• Support cloud-native applications on OpenShift (AWS).

• Maintain monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Grafana.

• Work closely with business users to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, AI, and emerging technologies.

What We’re Looking For

5-8 years of relevant experience
Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and Python
Experience with AWS/OpenShift, CI/CD, and Agile Scrum
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders
Experience with AI, automation, or analytics solutions is a plus

Working Arrangement

• Hybrid work setup (60% office / 40% remote)

• Flexible hours (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

• Occasional support for UK business hours
