We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented Designated Compliance Officer (DCO)/Head of Risk & Compliance to establish, lead, and maintain KAIB's compliance and regulatory framework. This role carries significant responsibility in ensuring the bank operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory expectations.
Develop, implement, and oversee AML/CFT, compliance, and risk management frameworks, policies, and controls
Ensure full compliance with Labuan regulatory requirements and applicable international standards
Lead the identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of compliance and regulatory risks across the organization
Establish and maintain an effective enterprise risk management framework aligned with the bank's risk profile
Oversee Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) and all regulatory reporting obligations
Act as the primary liaison with regulators and relevant authorities on compliance and risk matters
Conduct compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and periodic internal reviews
Provide independent advisory to management on regulatory, compliance, and risk matters
Promote and embed a strong compliance and risk culture across the organization
Operate with appropriate independence and authority in reporting compliance and risk matters to senior management and the Board
4–10 years of experience in financial services compliance, including at least 2–3 years in banking or investment banking
Proven experience in a compliance, risk, or control function within a regulated financial institution
Strong knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices
Experience within Labuan or other regulated jurisdictions is preferred
Proven experience in STR, regulatory reporting, and liaison with authorities
Strong ethical standards with the ability to meet Fit and Proper criteria
Ability to operate independently with sound judgment and professional integrity
Experience in establishing, enhancing, or managing compliance and risk frameworks will be highly advantageous
