Job summary

Sunway Malls seeks an experienced interior design professional to coordinate tenant fit-out works in Kuala Lumpur. You will review design submissions, provide direction on store planning, and resolve fit-out issues in collaboration with Leasing, Procurement, and Facility Management.

The role requires a minimum 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency with design software, and strong English and BM communication. Based in KL, occasional travel to malls may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Exposure to current design trends preferably in retail or commercial designs.
• Proficient in design software and tools; able to translate concepts into drawings and plans.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage tenant fit-out works with tenants and designers.
• Review and comment on tenant design submissions to ensure compliance with mall guidelines and standards.
• Provide design direction, store planning advice, and resolve fit-out issues with internal teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify works meet approved plans, mall regulations, and safety requirements.
• Perform final inspections with tenants before store opening and business commencement.
• Support mall improvement, enhancement, and expansion projects as assigned.
• Maintain and update mall master plans, tenancy layouts, and landlord provision schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and data protection regulations.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by management.
