Job summary

ThunderSoft in Malaysia is seeking an IC CAD Engineer to support physical verification and parasitic extraction within a custom design flow. You will work with senior CAD team members to optimize setups, improve user experience, and provide multi-site user support to meet design schedules.

You will help evaluate new tool features, participate in AI-driven enhancements, and contribute to reliable CAD flows across technology nodes. Collaboration across sites and time zones is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering.
• Experience with IC physical verification and parasitic extraction is preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl) is desired.

• Set up and verify physical verification and parasitic extraction tools/flows
• Maintain and improve physical verification and parasitic extraction processes across multiple technology nodes
• Build regression testbenches to maintain CAD tool quality
• Provide technical support and training to users across multiple sites

Job description

As an IC CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting physical verification and parasitic extraction in a custom design environment. You will work with senior CAD team members to verify existing setups for new technology enablement, improve current setups for a better user experience, and provide user support to meet design deliverable schedules. You will also be involved in evaluating and implementing new tool features. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our custom CAD flows.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, custom design, and verification in general. You are a team player with excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with engineers located across different sites and time zones. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are eager to learn, and ready to tackle challenges. You are passionate about improving processes and user experience through AI integration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up and verify physical verification and parasitic extraction tools/flows

Maintain and improve physical verification and parasitic extraction processes across multiple technology nodes

Provide technical support and training to users across multiple sites

Enhance overall user usage and experience through AI agent integration

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience with Calibre or any equivalent vendor tool

Experience with StarRC or any equivalent vendor tool

Experience in Fusion Compiler

Fluent in programming languages like Perl, Python, Tcl
