Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures and surgeries.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures.
• Perform four-handed dentistry efficiently.
• Assist in minor oral surgeries, extractions, and other clinical procedures.
• Suction, retract, and pass instruments during treatments.
• Update patient records and treatment notes in the clinic system.
• Assist with appointment coordination and front desk support as needed.

Job description

Clinical & Chairside Assistance

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures and surgeries
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before procedures
• Perform four-handed dentistry efficiently
• Assist in minor oral surgeries, extractions, and other clinical procedures
• Suction, retract, and pass instruments during treatments
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures

Sterilization & Infection Control

• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Follow strict infection control and cross-contamination protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms
• Manage clinical waste according to safety regulations

Patient Care & Support

• Prepare patients for treatment and provide chairside reassurance
• Explain basic post-operative and oral care instructions as directed by the dentist
• Assist patients before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor patient condition and report concerns to the dentist

Equipment & Inventory Management

• Maintain and check dental equipment functionality
• Assist in managing dental supplies and stock levels
• Report faulty equipment and low inventory to management

Administrative & Support Duties

• Update patient records and treatment notes in the clinic system
• Assist with appointment coordination when needed
• Support front desk or other clinical staff when required
• Perform other duties assigned by the dentist or management
