Job summary

Bottega Mediterranea Sdn Bhd is seeking a passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in Kuala Lumpur. You will help run a kitchen section, prepare authentic dishes, and maintain high standards of quality and presentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of kitchen experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
• Experience handling a kitchen section such as hot kitchen, cold kitchen, grill, pasta or preparation is an advantage.
• Interest or experience in Italian or Mediterranean cuisine is preferred.
• Good culinary, food preparation and cooking skills.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Section Operations & Quality - Manage an assigned kitchen section and prepare dishes according to Bottega recipes, portioning and presentation standards.
• Food Preparation & Service - Complete mise en place, prepare and cook dishes, and ensure your station is ready for smooth and timely service.
• Quality & Consistency - Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation while following approved recipes and preparation methods.
• Stock & Waste Control - Support proper food storage, FIFO rotation, ingredient checks and minimise food wastage.
• Teamwork & Support - Guide Commis Chefs when required and support senior chefs and other kitchen sections during busy service periods.
• Hygiene & Safety - Maintain a clean and organised workstation and comply with food safety, hygiene, company SOPs and workplace safety requirements.
