Job summary

Maybank Investment Banking Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Analyst/Assistant Manager to support the origination, structuring and execution of debt financing transactions, including bonds and sukuk, and to provide client debt advisory services.

You will work closely with internal teams and external parties to deliver end-to-end debt capital market solutions, perform financial analyses and prepare memos and termsheets, while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of debt financing and credit analysis.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and credit assessment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with financial databases.

Responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring, and execution of debt capital market transactions including bonds and sukuk.
• Conduct financial analysis and credit assessment of prospective issuers.
• Prepare presentations, pitch books, credit memos and termsheets for debt instruments.
• Review documentation from external counsels for debt market instruments.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external parties (regulators, lawyers, rating agencies, investors).
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments impacting DCM.
• Participate in due diligence and milestone tracking.
• Mentor junior analysts and associates.
• Contribute to business development and client meetings.
