Job summary

LB Advanced Material Asia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a control-room operator for DCS sequence control in our TiO2 and chemical manufacturing facility.

The role covers startup, monitoring, and normal shutdown of SFC sequences, plus alarm handling and interlock status checks. We require a college diploma or higher in chemical engineering or automation, and more than two years of DCS operation experience with on‑the‑job assessment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in chemical engineering or automation.
• More than 2 years of DCS operation experience.
• Must pass DCS operation and interlock logic assessment.
• Familiar with SFC sequence control processes and interlock protection logic.
• Able to operate English interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Execute startup, monitoring, and normal shutdown of SFC sequence control.
• Monitor DCS parameters, promptly confirm alarms, adjust operating parameters within authority.
• Execute interlock removal and reset per authority; record actions.
• Coordinate with field inspection positions for remote valve checks and equipment start/stop.
• Record shift operation logs, alarms, and handover at shift change.
• Participate in DCS alarm management, sequence control optimization, and training assessments.
