Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and enthusiastic Daycare & Tuition Teacher to supervise and support primary school students from Standard 1 to Standard 6. The teacher will be responsible for guiding students through their daily homework, providing tuition and academic support, conducting revision activities, and creating a positive and conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and care for primary school students after school.

Guide students in completing their daily school homework and assignments.

Provide tuition and academic support for primary school subjects, particularly Bahasa Melayu, English, Chinese, Mathematics, and Science.

Explain lessons and concepts clearly according to each student's learning level.

Conduct revision, exercises, quizzes, and other learning activities to reinforce students' understanding.

Monitor students' academic progress and identify areas where additional support is needed.

Assist students with examination preparation, including revision and practice exercises.

Encourage students to develop good study habits, discipline, independence, and time-management skills.

Maintain a quiet, organised, and positive study environment.

Supervise students during meals, breaks, and other daycare activities when required.

Communicate with parents/guardians regarding students' homework, learning progress, behaviour, and areas for improvement.

Maintain basic records of students' attendance, homework completion, and academic progress.

Ensure students follow the centre's rules, routines, and safety guidelines.

Work closely with other teachers and staff to provide consistent support for students.

Participate in centre activities, events, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum SPM qualification; Diploma/Degree in Education, or a related field is an advantage.

Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, daycare, tuition centres, or working with primary school children is preferred.

Good command of Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Strong knowledge of the Malaysian primary school curriculum is an advantage.

Able to teach and explain primary-level subjects clearly.

Good classroom management and communication skills.

Able to motivate and encourage students with different learning abilities.
