Job summary

Yi & K in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Daycare & Tuition Teacher to supervise and support primary school students from Standard 1 to 6. You will guide students through daily homework, provide tuition and academic support, and create a positive, structured learning environment.

Responsibilities include after-school supervision, helping with Bahasa Melayu, English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science, guiding lessons, conducting revision, monitoring progress, assisting exam prep,

Qualifications

SPM qualification minimum.
Diploma or Degree in Education preferred.
Good command of Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Knowledge of Malaysian primary curriculum is an advantage.
Ability to teach primary-level subjects clearly.

Responsibilities

Supervise and care for primary students after school.
Guide students in completing daily homework and assignments.
Provide tuition and academic support in Bahasa Melayu, English, Chinese, Maths, and Science.
Explain lessons clearly and adapt to each student’s level.
Conduct revision, exercises and quizzes to reinforce understanding.
Monitor progress and identify needs for additional support.
Assist with examination preparation and practice.
Promote good study habits, discipline, independence and time management.
Maintain a quiet, organized study environment and supervise meals/breaks.
Communicate with parents about progress and concerns.
Keep basic records of attendance and progress.
Ensure safety rules and routines are followed.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff for consistent support.
Participate in centre activities and events as needed.
