Job summary

Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd invites a Principal Engineer (Technical Director/Solution Architect) to drive high-level design and pre-sales efforts for advanced telecom solutions in Malaysia.

You will lead solution delivery, manage technical risks, and coordinate cross-functional teams on IPRAN, IP Core and BNG projects. The role requires 10+ years in telecom/IT, strong networking expertise, and willingness to travel in Asia Pacific.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Communications Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in telecom/IT/CS or related field.
• IP/IT Certification such as HCIE or CCIE.
• Proficient in TCP/IP, routing designs (OSPF/ISIS/BGP), MPLS/VPN.
• Experience in technical management and team leadership.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel frequently across Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-sales project development and bidding with high-level design (HLD) of technical and delivery solutions.
• Serve as Technical Director or Solution Architect, lead solution development and manage technical risks for IPRAN, IP Core and BNG projects.
• Act as a technical POC, understand customer requirements and provide feasible solutions.

Job description

Datacom Principal Engineer (Technical Director/Solution Architect)

Job Description:

1. Support pre-sales project development and bidding, including high-level design (HLD) of technical solutions and service delivery solutions (including Master plan and HR plan) to ensure the feasibility of delivery.
2. Serve as the Technical Director (TD) or Solution Architect (SA) of a delivery project, and take the lead in developing solutions and managing technical risks for projects such as IPRAN (IP Radio Access Network), IPCore, and BNG (Broadband Network Gateway).
3. Good communication skills, able to correctly understand and effectively analyze customer requirements, provide feasible solutions according to customer requirements and existing solutions, play role of technical point of contact.

Requirements

1. Candidate possess Bachelor Degree in Communication Engineering or equivalent.
2. At least 10 years Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science or other related technical discipline working experience.
3. Possesses IP or IT Certification such as HCIE, CCIE.
4. Proficient in Network Protocols & Architecture, like TCP/IP, OSPF/ISIS/BGP Routing design, MPLS/VPN, EVPN, SRv6, VXLAN, SDN and Mainstream solution for IPRAN，IPCORE and DCN Network.
5. Experience in technical management and team management
6. Good communication skills and presentation skills.
7. Able to accept frequent travelling to Asia Pacific region for delivery project
