Job summary

Mission Critical Recruitment is seeking a Commissioning Lead to drive the Malaysian operation of an Australian-founded datacenter commissioning specialist. This role involves on-site leadership, technical direction across critical systems, and close collaboration with clients and senior leadership in a growing APAC presence.

Qualifications

• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background with relevant qualifications in datacenter or mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience leading commissioning delivery on datacenter or mission-critical projects.
• Experience leading engineers, commissioning teams, contractors and vendors.
• Confidence when working directly with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
• APAC project experience preferred; relocation to the region will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commissioning delivery across the Malaysian operation as its project portfolio grows.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, controls and other critical datacenter systems.
• Lead commissioning activities from planning and pre-functional testing through handover.
• Collaborate with engineers and on-site teams to troubleshoot issues and resolve deficiencies.
• Engage with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and project teams through commissioning and handover.
• Partner with senior leadership on team development, resource planning and future direction.
