Job summary

MRG Global is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning and testing for a major Data Centre project in Malaysia. You will lead the commissioning process from planning and design review through IST and final handover, ensuring all systems are fully tested and operational per project requirements.

The role requires a degree in Engineering and 10+ years in commissioning with large Data Centre experience, strong MEP knowledge, and proven leadership and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in commissioning or project delivery.
• Proven experience on large-scale Data Centre or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and Data Centre infrastructure.
• Experience with testing, commissioning and IST.
• Experience managing commissioning contractors, consultants and vendors.
• PMC/consultancy/client-side/developer experience desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning strategy and delivery for the Data Centre project.
• Develop and manage commissioning plans, programmes, procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate commissioning across MEP, CSA and Data Centre systems.
• Review design and technical docs to include commissioning requirements.
• Oversee pre-functional checks, testing, IST and handover.
• Ensure safety, programme adherence and quality standards.
• Monitor progress and provide updates to senior stakeholders.
• Represent PMC in commissioning meetings and client discussions.
• Support final handover and operational readiness.
