Job summary

Phillip Capital Group in Malaysia is seeking a Database Administrator to manage MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments across development, staging, and production. You will install, configure, and upgrade DBMS software, monitor performance, and implement security and backup strategies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT, strong SQL/T-SQL/PL/SQL skills, and relevant certifications. You will join a global financial services group with 24/7 production support and a focus on

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proficient in SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL with complex query experience.
Certifications such as Microsoft SQL DB Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, set up, and upgrade MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB environments.
Monitor performance, tune queries, and optimize indexes for fast data retrieval.
Implement security, manage access controls, and ensure privacy compliance.
Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery strategies and DR testing.
Support 24/7 production operations and resolve critical alerts.
Plan capacity, database design, and data growth forecasting.
