Job summary

HEINEKEN Malaysia is seeking a Data Steward to lead data governance and data quality initiatives across the organization. You will drive trusted, well-understood data to support reliable reporting, insights and decision-making.

You will collaborate with Data Owners, MDM Specialists, Digital & Technology teams and regional/global data groups to strengthen ownership and align with global standards. Proactive and collaborative work is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum 5 years in data management, governance, or data quality.
Knowledge of SAP Master Data and data quality concepts.
Experience with Collibra or similar data catalog.
Experience with data migration and cleansing programmes.
Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder management.
Excellent written and spoken English; Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor Data Quality Dashboard results, perform root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions.
Identify gaps between local master data and global standards; recommend improvements and coordinate remediation.
Establish and maintain data ownership, accountability, governance decisions and risk tracking.
Maintain inventory of priority data assets, definitions, ownership and lineage.
Act as a key contact for master data matters, incidents and SOP updates.
Lead data cleansing and readiness activities for data migration or transformation programmes.
Translate technical data topics into clear business language for stakeholders.
Deliver updates and training to business users to improve data ownership.
