Job summary

Noventiq Malaysia seeks a Data Solution Architect to lead complex data initiatives, focusing on technical design, PoCs, and data integration across clouds. You will drive deep technical discussions, validate architecture, and ensure scalable, robust solutions aligned with customer environments.

Expect hands-on delivery with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and multi-cloud data patterns. Strong communication is essential for advisory engagements with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering or Data Architecture.
• 3+ years in a customer-facing advisory role.
• The Technologist Mindset: hands-on coding with architectural view.
• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DP-600, or AWS Data Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• High-Level Technical Design of end-to-end data ecosystems using Fabric, Synapse, OneLake.
• Lead PoCs; build the plumbing to demonstrate value to clients.
• Drive deep-dive technical workshops; challenge client architectures.
• Design migration paths for fragmented data silos and ensure data integrity.
• Create cross-cloud data strategies (AWS, Azure) for client flexibility.
• Define data governance and DevOps for Data (DataOps).

Role Overview

The Data Solution Architect is the technical authority for our most complex data initiatives. Unlike a traditional sales role, your focus is on the how: the rigorous technical design, the validation of architectural assumptions, and the hands-on execution of Proof of Concepts (PoCs). You are the primary driver of deep technical conversations, ensuring that the proposed solution is robust, scalable, and perfectly aligned with the customer's technical landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Level Technical Design: Architect end-to-end data ecosystems, focusing on Microsoft Fabric , Synapse, and OneLake integration. You define the flow from data ingestion to consumption.
• Hands-on Proof of Concepts (PoC): Lead the technical implementation of PoCs to prove the feasibility of the proposed solution. You will be responsible for building the "plumbing" that demonstrates value to the client.
• Technical Discovery & Consultation: Drive deep-dive technical workshops. You must be able to challenge existing client architectures and propose modernized, consolidated data lakehouse or warehouse patterns.
• Data Consolidation Strategy: Design complex migration and integration paths for fragmented data silos, ensuring data integrity and performance across the enterprise.
• Cross-Cloud Architecture: Design vendor-neutral or multi-cloud data strategies, including AWS (Glue, Redshift, Athena) and Azure, to ensure client flexibility.
• Technical Governance: Define the standards for data security, compliance (GDPR/Local regulations), and DevOps for Data (DataOps).

Technical Requirements

Microsoft Stack

Microsoft Fabric , Power BI (DAX/M), Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics.

Storage & Compute

Delta Lake, Parquet, Spark, SQL Server, and Data Lake Gen2.

Languages

Advanced SQL, Python (PySpark), and PowerShell.

Alternative Clouds

Architecture experience with AWS Data Stack or GCP BigQuery.

Integration

API-led connectivity, CDC (Change Data Capture), and real-time streaming (Kafka/Event Hubs).

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering or Data Architecture, with at least 3 years in a customer-facing advisory role.
• The "Technologist" Mindset: You enjoy getting your hands dirty in the code/portal while simultaneously maintaining a high-level architectural view.
• Communication: Ability to command a room of Lead Developers and Enterprise Architects. You must be able to defend architectural choices with logic and best practices.
• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600), or AWS Certified Data Engineer are highly preferred.
