Job summary

United Overseas Bank is hiring a Data Security Engineering professional in Malaysia to design, implement, and support network and cryptographic security solutions. You will work on data encryption, key management, PKI, and related security protocols within the InnoHub2 team.

The role requires 5–7 years of cryptography and Java experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in engineering/Computer Science/IT/Cyber Security from a recognised institution.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Cryptography & Java.
• Willing to work during weekends/wee hours to support security administration activities.
• Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be process oriented, organized and have good time management.

Responsibilities

• Practical experience in data encryption, key management, and cryptographic technologies.
• Understanding of encryption techniques, tools, and best practices.
• Preferred experience with HSMs, key management systems, and data protection solutions.
• Familiarity with TLS and SSH protocols.
• Proficiency in PKI standards, digital certificates, and related security practices.
• Knowledge of operating systems and file systems; support SSL activities (CSR, certificate issuance).
• Support issuance/revoke of certificates for Mac OS and other systems.
