Job summary

UOB Innovation Hub 2 Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Data Security Engineer focused on Network and Crypto engineering. You will apply cryptographic methods, manage key lifecycles, and work with HSMs and PKI to safeguard banking data.

The role requires hands-on experience with cryptographic protocols and secure network design. The successful candidate will hold a Diploma or Degree in engineering, CS, IT, or Cyber Security, and have 5–7 years of cryptography and Java experience.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Cryptography and Java.
• Diploma/Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT / Cyber Security from a recognized institution.
• Willing to work during weekend or wee hours to support security administration activities.
• Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be process oriented and organized; effective time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Practical experience in data encryption, key management, and cryptographic technologies.
• Understanding of encryption techniques, tools, and best practices.
• Preferred experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), key management systems, and data protection solutions.
• Familiarity with security protocols such as TLS and SSH.
• Proficiency in cryptographic principles, digital certificates, and PKI standards.
• Knowledge of various operating systems and file systems.
• Supports SSL activities such as CSR generation, Certificate Issuance and Cert Injection.
• Support Issuance/Revoke of certificates for Mac OS and other systems.
