Job summary

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Data Engineer – Platform & Analytics to join our regional edge platform data team. You will deliver end-to-end data solutions, including data pipelines, data lakehouses, and analytics reporting across Asia-Pacific, partnering with application teams and business stakeholders.

The role emphasizes scalable data models, data quality governance, and self-service analytics through dashboards and datasets, with exposure to modern cloud data platforms and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and dimensional modelling.
• Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Exposure to version control tools such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Support and optimize cloud-based data platforms, databases, and data lakehouses.
• Build scalable data integration solutions across multiple source systems.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence across data assets.
• Manage data ingestion, transformation, and data delivery processes.
• Support deployment, release activities, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Develop and support dashboards, reports, and analytical datasets.
