Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO in Malaysia is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain our central data platform, enabling analytics, AI/ML initiatives and trusted data for operational and strategic use.

You will work with data scientists and product teams to develop scalable pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and Python, while ensuring data quality, security, and governance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience with data processing frameworks, data storage technologies, and programming languages such as Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain the central data platform
• Develop scalable data pipelines for analytics, reporting and AI/ML workloads
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and stakeholders to deliver trusted data
• Implement ETL/ELT, data quality, security and metadata management
• Maintain documentation and follow CI/CD practices
