Job summary

Entermind AI in Kuala Lumpur is hiring a Data Engineer to design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines powering analytics and AI models. You will work with data scientists and UX designers to translate complex needs into robust, scalable solutions.

The role requires 2–4 years of professional data engineering experience, strong Python and SQL skills, and familiarity with Spark, cloud platforms, and data governance. Opportunity to impact real-world AI initiatives across industries.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed processing frameworks.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and data pipeline tools.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT development, data warehousing and data lake concepts.
• Exposure to real-time streaming frameworks (Kafka, Spark Streaming) is a plus.
• Experience with visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
• Understanding of data governance, metadata and quality frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, including data scientists and UX designers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fields.

Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
