Job summary
EPS Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking a Data Centre Technician to support 24/7/365 operations in Malaysia. Immediate joiner preferred, with fluent English communication and hands-on Linux experience.
You will troubleshoot servers, storage, networking, and software applications, perform OS upgrades, cabling, rack installation, and participate in on-call rotation. Candidates with prior data centre experience and ability to lift up to 18kg are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in servers, storage, networking, and software applications.
- Experience working in a Data Centre environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Data Centre cabling and infrastructure is preferred.
- Able to lift, carry, and install server equipment weighing up to 18kg.
- Able to speak and write in English fluently.
Responsibilities
- Support Data Centre operations in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, storage, and software application issues.
- Monitor, maintain, and support production server hardware and software.
- Assist with server operating system upgrades, patching, and bug fixes.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and basic switch-related problems.
- Perform rack, stack, cabling, installation, and decommissioning activities within the Data Centre.
- Participate in on-call support and shift rotation schedules.
