Job summary

The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is supporting a globally renowned Project Management Consultancy in Johor Bahru to appoint an experienced QA/QC Manager for a major Data Centre construction project. You will oversee all QA/QC activities, drive quality processes, and work with client representatives and contractors to ensure top standards.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in QA/QC on complex construction projects, with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities; ISO 9001

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ QA/QC management experience on large construction projects.
• Proven track record overseeing data centre or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all QA/QC activities across a major Data Centre construction project.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan and procedures.
• Oversee main contractors and subcontractors to ensure works meet drawings, specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, material submissions, and other quality documentation.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality hold points through all stages of construction.
• Monitor construction quality through regular site inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), observations, corrective actions, and close-out activities.
• Work closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, and project management teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Ensure all inspection records, test certificates, quality documentation, and handover information are accurately maintained.
• Prepare and present regular quality reports, KPIs, and performance updates to senior stakeholders and client representatives.
• Support commissioning, testing, and project handover activities from a quality perspective.
• Drive a proactive quality culture across contractors, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
