Job summary

CHINT Global (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Project Engineer to drive the Transmission and Distribution portfolio from site execution through handover. You will ensure project plans align with technical specs, safety standards and client requirements while coordinating with production, technology, sales and customers.

The role emphasizes site management, subcontractor supervision, documentation and cost monitoring. Occasional travel to Johor-based or other project locations will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on site management or project coordination experience.
• Experience with high-rise/building or infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Experience in Data Center projects is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Site management and coordination to ensure project progress per schedule and specifications.
• Liaise with client, main contractor, consultant and subcontractors; attend meetings and resolve on-site issues.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety and subcontractor performance; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage subcontractors, assign work packages, monitor progress and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and invoices; support ad-hoc duties as required.
• Coordinate with factories on production schedules and delivery lead times.
• Oversee transportation plans and import/export activities for equipment.
• Track cargo movement and address shipping delays with forwarders.
