Job summary

Kuok Group Singapore (KGSg) seeks a Data Centre Specialist (DCS) based in Johor, Malaysia. The role focuses on executing and aiding maintenance of critical data centre systems to ensure high-quality service, uptime, and safety in alignment with the maintenance strategy.

Reporting to the Facility Lead, you will handle both planned and reactive work, and supervise third-party engineers as needed. Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of data centre experience, strong Bahasa Malay and English

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Bahasa Malay and English (spoken and written).
• Minimum 1–3 years of Data Centre experience preferred.
• Willingness to work shifts longer than eight hours and adapt to business needs.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful operation, maintenance and repair of critical equipment with 100% uptime.
• Plan and complete planned and reactive work orders on or before due dates.
• Assist in planning, supervision and handover of project-related changes or improvements.
• Maintain clean and orderly facilities space including FOC, library, stores and workshop.
• Collaborate with management and operations to analyze equipment failures and form root cause analyses.
• Develop site-specific procedures for maintenance and operations of critical equipment.
• Assist with technical issues, project management, vendor management and reporting.
• Supervise third‑party engineers and contractors to ensure site standards.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in the FOC, EPMS, BMS and Fire System with priority.
