Job summary

Bytecenture Consulting Sdn Bhd offers an internship providing hands-on exposure to real-world data centre and enterprise IT infrastructure. You will learn network, server, Linux, and equipment deployment through actual projects, with training and guidance provided and work-related transportation expenses reimbursed.

On-site tasks include rack mounting, hardware installation, cabling, and on-site delivery of devices.

Qualifications

Current student intern majoring in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Security, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Familiar with basic configuration of network equipment; knowledge of switches, firewalls, and wireless networks preferred.
Familiar with basic Linux commands and server maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

Data Centre Equipment Deployment and Delivery: rack mounting, hardware installation, cabling, debugging, system initialization, and on-site delivery of Mac hosts and client devices.
Network Equipment Operations and Maintenance: basic configuration of H3C and Ruijie switches, firewalls, and wireless devices; VLAN segmentation, policy configuration, and daily monitoring.
Server Operations and Maintenance: assist with Linux system installation, security hardening, and daily maintenance; server hardware inspections and basic troubleshooting.
Company and Project Operations: assist with onboarding/offboarding accounts, on-site debugging, and documentation.
