Job summary

Gough Recruitment (Hong Kong) Pty Limited is partnering with a client in Malaysia to hire an experienced EHS Manager to support the safe delivery and operation of mission-critical data centre infrastructure. The role focuses on driving workplace safety, regulatory compliance, contractor management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across data centre environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety-related field required.
• 8+ years EHS experience; data centre exposure preferred.
• DOSH Malaysia SHO registration required.
• Strong regulatory compliance and incident investigation skills.
• Experience engaging with contractors and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of EHS policies and programs across data centre operations and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive workplace inspections, audits, incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Manage HIRARC activities, contractor safety programs, permit-to-work processes, and risk control measures.
• Support critical facility operations through emergency preparedness planning and EHS compliance initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, facilities, operations and project teams to promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
