Job summary

SP Data Centres is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to provide client-side EHS assurance across major data centre construction projects in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. The role covers brownfield upgrades while the facility remains operational, with potential extension to greenfield development.

You will monitor EHS performance, review plans and risk controls, and lead assessments and inspections to ensure safe execution across live operations and handovers.

Qualifications

• Extensive construction EHS experience, client-side or assurance role.
• Data centre, hyperscale or mission-critical project experience.
• Live/operational data centre experience; brownfield upgrades.
• Knowledge of Malaysian OHS legislation and DOSH requirements.
• DOSH SHO registration preferred; CIDB Green Card added advantage.
• ISO 45001 knowledge; incident investigation and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-side EHS assurance throughout construction, commissioning, energisation and handover.
• Monitor contractor EHS performance and implementation of project requirements.
• Review H&S management plans, RAMS/MOPs, risk assessments, lifting plans, LOTO and emergency plans.
• Lead High‑Risk Activity assessments and regular site inspections.
• Provide assurance around live operations, shutdowns, tie‑ins, switching activities and SIMOPS.
• Produce weekly/monthly EHS reporting and maintain assurance records.
