The role is responsible for supporting daily data center operations, server and network equipment maintenance, ticket handling, facility coordination, asset management, remote hands support, and related documentation activities.
1. Server Maintenance
- Perform server mounting and handover acceptance checks.
- Conduct service equipment patrols and routine server health checks.
- Participate in server failure drill exercises.
2. Hardware Maintenance and Component Replacement
- Dismantle servers for minimal configuration testing when required.
- Perform on-site replacement of hardware components based on approved tickets and SOP.
- Support out-of-warranty server issue handling and basic break-fix activities.
3. Failure Incident Support and Diagnostics
- Diagnose pre-check failures and perform approved first-level checks.
- Conduct OS-level diagnostics where required, such as logging into systems to identify possible root causes.
- Support pre-vendor triage, including log collection and preparation for vendor escalation.
4. System Recovery and Configuration
- Perform post-repair system configuration such as DHCP checks and disk mounting where required.
- Support OS-level repair activities such as disk remounting based on approved procedures.
5. Headcount-Based and Ticket-Based Data Center Operations
- Handle assigned operational tasks based on manpower allocation and ticket queue requirements.
- Follow ticket lifecycle discipline, including status updates, evidence collection, escalation, and closure documentation.
6. Network Device Maintenance
- Support device deployment, failure handling, and request service tasks.
- Conduct service equipment patrols and network equipment failure drill exercises.
- Coordinate with carrier or IDC providers when required.
7. Asset Management
- Manage production inventory and ensure asset records are accurate.
- Maintain spare units and spare parts inventory.
- Support implementation project inventory tracking.
- Organise storeroom, cabinets, and related equipment areas.

8. Coordination with Data Center Facility
- Coordinate rack power on/off activities with the facility team and relevant approvers.
- Support facility incident response and drill exercises.
- Assist with site environment checks or testing activities.
- Perform facility patrols and report abnormalities.
- Coordinate facility changes or maintenance activities when required.
9. Structured Cabling and Asset Tagging
- Perform cabling project acceptance checks and validation.
- Support ad-hoc structured cabling, cable replacement, labelling, and asset tagging work.
10. Remote Work Support
- Handle Issuer internal system ticket tasks related to virtual infrastructure.
- Create, modify, or cancel VM hosts or virtual machines based on approved requests.
- Perform IP provisioning and network configuration support.
- Support virtual machine handover activities.
- Provide system access support for checks, log collection, and configuration restoration.
11. Other On-Site and Coordination Work
- Provide on-site technical assistance or local coordination with third-party local suppliers.
- Coordinate with logistics and client teams during business hours.
- Prepare on-duty reports, documentation, filing, and archiving.
Recommended Candidate Profile
Suitable for candidates with DCT, DC Operations, Server Support, Network Support, Remote Hands, or IT Infrastructure
Ideal candidate should be comfortable with physical data center work, ticket-based operations, cabling, asset tracking, and basic server/network troubleshooting.
Candidates with Linux, OS-level checks, virtualization, IP provisioning, and basic network configuration exposure will have an added advantage.
