Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kulai, Malaysia, seeks an HVAC Operations & Maintenance Engineer for a large-scale data center. You will oversee end-to-end O&M of cooling plants, chillers, PAC units, BMS, free cooling strategies, and related systems to ensure reliable IT environments.

You should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have at least 3 years of HVAC O&M experience in a water-cooled data center, with strong troubleshooting and energy-efficiency emphasis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Building Environment & Energy Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years HVAC O&M experience in a large-scale data center.
• Mandarin language proficiency preferred for China-based collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of centrifugal/screw chillers, chilled water systems, free cooling, and BMS.
• Good documentation, reporting and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for end-to-end O&M of the data center cooling plant and HVAC systems (chillers, plate heat exchangers, cooling towers, PAC units, free cooling, water systems, BMS).
• Monitor environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, differential pressure) and maintain operation logs and records.
• Perform routine inspections, respond to equipment faults, and conduct root-cause analysis with corrective actions.
