Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) team in Malaysia is seeking a motivated engineer for a 6-month assignment. You will support critical facility operations, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC and fire systems, with 24x7 on-call responsibilities.

Successful candidates may transition to a regular full-time position. Ideal applicants are graduates in 2027 or recently graduated, with legal right to work in Malaysia and strong English/Malay communication.

Qualifications

• Basic technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, HVAC or fire systems in critical facilities.
• Willing to work in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster, or oncall basis.
• Expected graduation in 2027 or graduated within the past 24 months.
• Candidates must be able to legally work in Malaysia.
• Excellent communication skills in Malaysian and English, both written and verbal.

The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) Team is the backbone of AWS, supporting the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24/7. We are committed to maintain the physical infrastructure of AWS, ensuring the standards for operational performance in the areas of safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.

Data Center Engineering Operation (DCEO) is seeking for individuals who are motivated, self-starter, eager to learn, passionate and committed to join us. You will spend 6 months on the assignment and by the end of it, your progression may be evaluated to see if you have what it takes to join our successful team and be a full time Amazonian.

This is a 6-months assignment with opportunity to apply to the Regular full time position after.

Basic Qualifications
