Job summary

Talent Recruit is representing a leading hyperscale data center provider seeking a Data Center Engineer in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru. The role supports the Data Center Manager in maintaining uptime and health of the facility, with emphasis on MEP, BMS, and IT infrastructure.

The candidate should have a diploma or degree in engineering/IT, 1–2 years of data centre experience, and Mandarin language ability for business needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in relevant engineering/IT disciplines.
• 1–2 years data centre or critical facilities experience.
• Mandarin language ability due to business needs.
• Willingness to work 24/7 and in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, process-oriented and detail-conscious.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily O&M duties across mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection, BMS, and physical IT infrastructure.
• Track monitoring alerts, diagnose faults, and coordinate timely escalations for critical system events.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, track energy consumption, and record hardware inventories.
• Oversee third-party contractors during routine maintenance, ensuring safety and guidelines compliance.
• Enforce site operational standards including airflow management, security, and cleanroom housekeeping.
• Assist with tenant equipment rack-and-stack, power/space allocations, client audits, and performance reporting.
• Support regulatory inspections, site certifications, safety protocols (EHS), and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain operational logs, update SOPs, and compile data for SLA reviews.
