Job summary

DayOne in Malaysia seeks a Senior Testing & Commissioning Lead to direct a regional team of engineers and technicians on data centre projects, ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery.

You will develop strategies, oversee field testing, coordinate with project managers and clients, review test plans, and ensure compliance with HVAC, power and network standards across the SE Asia region, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 7–10 years in data centre testing, commissioning, and operations.
• Experience leading teams and complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure: HVAC, power, and networks.
• Proficient with testing and commissioning software/tools.
• Excellent project management and multi-project handling.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Certifications in CPM/CSCP or similar, plus SE Asia familiarity.
• Willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of testing and commissioning engineers and technicians.
• Develop and implement testing and commissioning strategies for projects.
• Oversee testing and commissioning across data centre projects in country.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to meet timelines and budgets.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
• Review and approve test plans, reports, and commissioning docs.
• Serve as primary client contact during testing and commissioning.

Education
